천국의 기쁨을 맛보며 (Taste the Joy of Heaven)

베들레헴에 태어난 아기 예수를 찾은 동방에서 온 박사들은, 그들이 온 목적을 “경배하라 왔노라” 하였습니다: “헤롯 왕 때에 예수께서 유대 베들레헴에서 나시매 동방으로부터 박사들이 예루살렘에 이르러 말하되 – 유대인의 왕으로 나신 이가 어디 계시냐 우리가 동방에서 그의 별을 보고 그에게 경배하러 왔노라 하니.” (마태복음 2:1-2)

이천여년이 지난 오늘, 예수를 메시야로 또한 구주로 영접한 우리들도 그를 경배하며 살아가고 있습니다. 할렐루야! 예수님이야 말로 믿는 자들의 소망이요 기쁨입니다!

예수님의 탄생을 축하하며 기념하기 위하여 저희는 오늘 교회의 모든 식구들이 한자리에 모여 두 언어로 하나되어 합동예배를 드립니다. 온 교회 성도들이 한 마음이 되어 하나님께 경배하며, 기쁨의 자리를 함께 만들어 간다는것이 행복합니다. 청소년들이 찬양과 율동으로 하나님을 기쁘게 해드리며, 어린아이들도 예수님 앞에서 재롱떠는 모습으로 인하여 성령님께 영광이 되리라 기대합니다.

예배 후 준비된 만찬을 함께 나누며 서로 사랑의 교제를 할 수 있다는 것도 하나님께서 우리에게 주신 큰 복입니다! 감사합니다 예수님! 오늘 드려지는 예배와 친교를 통하여 천국을 미리보고, 예수님께서 거하시는 천국의 기쁨을 조금이나마 맛보는 하루가 되었으면 좋겠습니다. 예수님의 탄생을 기뻐하는 모든 성도님들, 사랑합니다!

The Magi who looked for the Messiah declared their purpose for their search; and it was to “worship him”: “After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi[a] from the east came to Jerusalem 2 and asked, “Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him.” (Matthew 2:1-2)

After 2,000 or so years later, those who have accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior continue to worship Him. Hallelujah! Jesus remains the hope and joy for those who believe in Him!

Today we have gathered as a family of God, along with our own family members in our combined Christmas worship service, to celebrate the birth of our Lord, Jesus Christ! It is pure joy to worship God together. I firmly believe that God is glorified through the youth’s singing and dancing and that Jesus is smiling, looking down upon the little children’s joyful frolicking.

We even have a Christmas feast prepared after the service. What a wonderful time to share the love of God together over delicious food and fellowship! To that we give thanks to our Jesus! All in all, we will get a glimpse of what heaven may be like and taste the joy that is to come for those who welcome the birth of the Savior of the world, Jesus Christ!
