“Protecting the Lives of the Unborn”

A historical event occurred two days ago in United States. The Supreme Court handed down a decision that overturned Roe vs. Wade (the case that legalized abortion on-demand since 1973).

What this means is that, now each state legislature will have to ponder and decide what will be the law regarding abortion, in respective states. Since the legalization of abortion on-demand took place, nearly 61 million babies’ lives have been taken. How that must have grieved God and still does so!

As Christians we believe that God “created my inmost being,” that God “knit me together in my mother’s womb” (Psalm 139:13) All babies’ lives have their origin in God and God loves each and every one of the babies conceived. Let us continue to pray for the unborn and as our Florida’s legislature makes new laws regarding abortion, may we always stand on the side of life and support legislature that will protect the babies inside all mothers’ wombs.

The fight and struggle to save the lives of the unborn is just beginning. At times the fight will become heated and vicious, both in political and social realms. Whatever the case may be, may we find ourselves on the side of promoting life for the unborn. May there be peace in our country. God may you have mercy on us.

“태아의 생명을 보호하기 위하여”

이틀 전 미국에서 역사적인 사건이 발생했습니다. 대법원은 Roe vs. Wade (1973년 부터 낙태를 합법화한 법원 결정) 를 번복시키는 판결을 내렸습니다.

이 판결은 이제 각 주의 입법부가 낙태에 관한 법률을 숙고하고 결정할 수 있는 결정권을 갖도록 한다는 것을 의미합니다. 1973 낙태 합법화 이후 약 6,100만명의 태아가 목숨을 잃었습니다. 그것은 하나님을 슬프시게 했을 것이며 지금도 그렇게 하고 있습니다.

기독교인으로서 우리는 하나님께서 직접 “내 내장을 지으시며 나의 모태에서 나를 만드셨다”고 믿습니다 (시편 139). 모든 아기의 생명은 하나님에게서 지으셨고, 하나님께서는 하나님의 형상을 타고 잉태된 아기 한명 한명을 사랑하십니다. 소중한 생명을 위해 계속 기도합시다. 플로리다 입법부가 낙태에 관한 새로운 법률을 결정하는 과정속에서, 항상 생명의 편에 서서 모든 어머니의 뱃속에 있는 아기들을 보호할 결정을 지지하기를 바랍니다.

태아의 생명을 구하기 위한 갈등과 투쟁은 이제 시작입니다. 장차 정치적으로나 사회적으로 이 문제는 각각 다른 견해로 인하여더 심한 갈등이 계속될 것입니다. 어떤 경우이든 하나님께서 지으신 생명을 소중히 여기기를 바랍니다. 하나님의 자비하심과 평화가 우리가 사랑하는 미국에 임하기를 소원합니다.
