This past Sunday, a few of our young adults attended Bethel Music’s concert here in Miami. Although I was unable to go this time, I remember attending one a few years ago with youth students and young adults, and we had a blessed time praising God. The atmosphere was breathtaking; the worship band was very professional, hundreds of people united to praise God, and being with our church members made it so much better.

On that night, I remember learning a new worship song called “Promises never fail.” It is based on a couple of biblical passages that reflect on God’s character and attributes, and on God’s plans and promises for His people (Joshua 23:14; Isaiah 54:10; Matthew 6:30-34). This song was released in 2017, and yet, till this day, I love going back to it to remind myself that the Maker who created the universe, the Almighty one who gave me life, and the God who called me to ministry is with me. The chorus declares, “I know Your thoughts, Your plans for me are good. I know You hold my future and my hope. Your promises never fail, Your promises never fail.”

Are you still waiting for God to act? Are you still waiting for His plans to come through? Are you still waiting to experience God’s plan and purpose? As today’s worship song affirms, remember that God’s promises never fail, that we “will see it come to pass in Your name, in Your name.”
