“Stand firm”

Hello and welcome 2026! How is the new year so far? Better, worse, or same as last year? You and I can make decisions and choices to enhance our experience and to build great memories in 2026, but the reality is that there are things that are completely out of our control, and they can drastically change our lives. I am not discouraging you from planning new goals and new ideas to have a great year, on the contrary, I am encouraging you to be properly equipped to have another blessed year with God and His people.
Then, what can we do about it? How can we prepare ourselves to face another year and its challenges? There is worship song titled “Stand firm” by CXMMXNS and CityAlight. The chorus declares, “We stand on the Rock of Ages, we trust in His mighty hand, we hold to the One who will keep His word; be strong in the Lord, stand firm.” Dear beloved church, go ahead and plan a nice vacation, go ahead and plan dates with your family, go ahead and plan new year resolutions, but most importantly, plan on standing firm in the Lord so that no matter what upcoming battles you may face, you will still have a blessed year because you are in the Lord.
