“Bless God”

Pastor Aaron Kwon

How’s your lent season so far as you’ve been meditating on the word, as you’ve been fasting, as you’ve been trying to reconnect with God? Some of you might be having a blessed time, and some of you might be going through rough waters. Lent season can be overwhelming with the “to do and not to do” list, and what’s worse, life in general is already crushing enough to make us stop praising the name of Jesus.

There is a worship song titled “Bless God” by Brooke Ligertwood that I want to share with everyone, especially with those who are almost out of strength to worship God. These are some of its lyrics, “Come on and praise the Lord with me; sing if you love His name.    Come on and lift your voice with me; He’s worthy of all our praise… Bless God in the sanctuary; bless God in the fields of plenty; bless God in the darkest valley; every chance I get, I’ll bless Your name.”

I don’t know what you are going through, but I do know what you and I are called to do, to praise the Lord, to bless God in all             circumstances. Use this lent season as an opportunity to reconnect with God as you pray and meditate on His word.

Psalm 34:1-3, “I will extol the Lord at all times; his praise will always be on my lips. I will glory in the Lord; let the afflicted hear and rejoice. Glorify the Lord with me; let us exalt his name together.”
